OpenOffice Export PDF

The attached documents illustrate the use of the OpenOffice Writer to create and export PDF files -

Bookmarks in OpenOffice documents are exported as Named Destinations in the PDF files.
Hyperlinks in the OpenOffice documents are exported as PDF links to Named Destinations in the PDF files.

Two problems exist -

If there are 65 or more Named Destinations in the target PDF file, Adobe Reader will open the target PDF file at the beginning of the file instead of at the Named Destination.
If the source file is opened in PDF-XChange Viewer, the target PDF file is ALWAYS opened at the beginning of the file instead of at the Named Destination - no matter how many, or few, Named Destinations are in the target PDF file.

Update on correctly positioning target PDF documents when following hyperlinks created with OpenOffice Writer PDF Export (using PDF-XChange Viewer to read the PDF documents):

Thanks for supplying those samples, and as you can see the comunication below, the problem has been located and fixed.
The fix would be available with the next build ("2.0.48") in about a couple of weeks.

Further Update: The new version of PDF-XChange Viewer: Build 2.0.48 available for download (FREE) from Tracker Software Products (HERE).

PDF files created with OpenOffice Writer (PDF Export function) - that contain hyperlinks to Named Destinations in target PDF documents - correctly open and position the target PDF documents, using PDF-XChange Viewer!!!

(The target PDF documents may be created with any software capable of adding Named Destinations. This includes OpenOffice Writer (PDF Export function).)

Note that if a link is created with PDF-XChange Viewer, both Adobe Reader and PDF-XChange Viewer will position the target PDF file correctly at the nominated Named Destination, regardless of whether there are 65 or more Named Destinations in it.

Identifying the difference between the above two syntaxes should allow changes to OpenOffice Writer's PDF Export function so that it will produce predictable and consistent cross-document PDF links.
